Hamina tattoo
Hamina Tattoo International Military Music Event was organised for the first time in 1990. The original idea of military music days came about in the early 1980s within the tourist service of Hamina. The Hamina Tattoo has established its position as a major event in military music, arranged every second year. The Hamina Tattoo is nowadays arranged in the first week in August.
Celebrating music since 1966
Pori Jazz is one of the most important festivals in Finland, the idea was born among jazz enthusiasts and musicians during the 1960’s, and the first Pori Jazz took place in July 1966. At the beginning this festival was so small but year by year it started to grow and nowadays it is one of the most well known and beloved summer events in Finland.
Pori Jazz
As the video shows, many people go there, around 120,000 people live the experience every year. It is located on the West coast of Finland, about 240 km from Helsinki, 110 km from Tampere and 140 km from Turku.
Kuhmo chamber
Established in 1970
The festival attrac about 40,000 concert visitors annually. This extraordinary event is thoroughly dedicated to the music, is a time of harmonious interaction for acoustic music, silence and scenic beauty.
Vladimir Mendelssohn
Mendelssohn has been a familiar face at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival since the early 1980s, and started as Artistic Director of the festival on the 1st of August, 2005.
